E3. The Story Behind Sri Lalita Trishati

Lopaamudra, a strong devotee of Devi asked her to help her husband get close to Her. Under Devi's command, Hayagriva Muni, Narayana’s incarnation transmitted the Sri Vidya to Rishi Agastya Muni revealing to him the Yantra of the body of Devi through the Sri Lalita Trishati. The 15 letters are a symbolic representation of the parts of her body and in each of them, 20 names of Devi are expressed. As a Guru, Hayagriva told Agastya that the secret to know Devi lies in the 16th letter. It cannot be revealed to anyone, the true seeker needs to discover it by themselves.
